Arpoador Stones is a rock & roll band from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Formed for veterans people who spent their lives leaving at Ipanema and Arpoador Beaches, adepts of the basic and vigorous rock’n roll.
It is a regional sound of awareness and protest, love and beach poetry that it exceeds of the local and personal plan to the universal one.

Samy David vocal and lyrics, comes of a solo career where produced "Oca Carioca" a record independent and made several shows in Rio, did open shows of some famous bands as Red Baron in the Circo Voador, Sugar Blues in the Arpoador (Harpooner) etc.
Markinho Oliveira guitar and arrangements, already played since years 70 and its last band was the Inferno Colorido (Hell Colorful).

Geraldo Darbilly Geraldo Drabilly work with the band in theirs two last albuns, gave wonderful tips in the mixing process and musical pos-production job.
Supported in a strong and original poetry, the indie garage rock & roll sound is the style of the band that did make shows already in the best houses of spectacles of the South Zone from Rio

Arpoador Stones
Com produção do George Martin da banda, o lendário baterista Geraldo D'Arbilly (um dos responsáveis pela voga da MPB em Londres nos 80), o Arpoador Stones prepara disco novo que marca a estréia de Ronaldo Jones (Sangue da Cidade) no baixo, ao lado de Markinho Oliveira (guitarra), Sammy David (vocal) e Fernando Rossi (bateria). O grupo de cultores do rock gravou no Hanói Estúdio, de Arnaldo Brandão (mixagem e gravações complementares no Atomic Records), numa linha MC5 de letras politizadas (Justiça covarde, Guerra e paz, incluindo um discurso sampleado de Martin Luther King).
